About

I am a full time, full service, general practitioner practicing in West Vancouver. I am also a staff physician at Lion’s Gate Hospital in North Vancouver where I work together with specialist colleagues, using my knowledge and understanding of my patients to advise what is most appropriate for their care.

I was grew up in Cheshire in the North West of England where I graduated from the University of Liverpool Medical School. I did my postgraduate training in General Practice at University College London, UK.

I have a commitment to lifelong learning and maintain certification in Family Medicine from the College of Family Physicians of Canada. I am also a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners of the United Kingdom.

I am actively involved in teaching medical students and am a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Practice at the University of British Columbia.

For eighteen years I represented physicians from the North Shore, Sunshine Coast, Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton on the Board of Doctors of BC (formerly the British Columbia Medical Association)  and I have been a delegate thirteen times in the caucus representing British Columbia doctors at the General Council of the Canadian Medical Association.
